Covid the Corvid, Summer of 2020
A fledgling crow was rescued at the end of April 2020. We named him/her Covid (the Corvid). Covid thrived throughout the summer, entertaining and amazing the many friends he made.He was never confined and flew free wherever he wanted. But Covid was still a crow at heart. By September, he wanted to hang with the wild crows, and he left for the last time on September 5 with a final goodbye. Crows are monogamous, and I hope he/she found a forever crow sweetheart and will start a crow dynasty. I hope he will bring his family to visit next spring. Music by Laurie Lewis, “Today we’re here and then we’re gone.”
